The Indian team scored 296 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs at the Boland Park Stadium in Paarl on Thursday. In reply, the South African team was all out for 218 runs in 45.2 overs.
Many interesting moments were seen during this series decider match. Indian batsman Sanju Samson scored his first international century and celebrated it in a unique way. Samson completed his century by taking a single at long off in front of Keshav Maharaj on the last ball of the 44th over. Samson celebrated his maiden century by showing his biceps. So Sai Sudarshan took a flying catch at midoff on Avesh Khan’s ball.

Both the players made a partnership of 116 runs for the fourth wicket. Rinku Singh scored 38 runs on 27 balls, Rajat Patidar, who played his first ODI, scored 22 runs on 16 balls and captain KL Rahul scored 21 runs on 35 balls.
Washington Sundar was out after scoring 14 runs and Sai Sudarshan was out after scoring 10 runs. Akshar Patel could score only one run. Arshdeep Singh remained unbeaten after scoring seven runs and Avesh Khan remained unbeaten after scoring one run. Buren Hendricks took maximum three wickets for South Africa. Nandre Berger had two successes. Lizaad Williams, Viaan Mulder and Keshav Maharaj got one success each.
