India defeated South Africa by 78 runs in the third and deciding match of the ODI series. With this, Team India has won the ODI series for the second time on African soil.

Captain KL Rahul made two changes in the playing eleven in the decisive ODI. Rituraj Gaikwad was not a part of the playing eleven due to illness. Rajat Patidar got a chance in his place. Washington Sundar has entered the playing eleven in place of Kuldeep Yadav.

The Indian team scored 296 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs at the Boland Park Stadium in Paarl on Thursday. In reply, the South African team was all out for 218 runs in 45.2 overs.

Many interesting moments were seen during this series decider match. Indian batsman Sanju Samson scored his first international century and celebrated it in a unique way. Samson completed his century by taking a single at long off in front of Keshav Maharaj on the last ball of the 44th over. Samson celebrated his maiden century by showing his biceps. So Sai Sudarshan took a flying catch at midoff on Avesh Khan’s ball.

Nandre Berger had two successes. Lizaad Williams, Viaan Mulder and Keshav Maharaj got one success each.
